Well hello! Unbelievable it’s May already (and it’s feeling like August thanks to the weather we’re having here in NYC) But if today is any sign of the coming days in May then it’s going to be a good one because I found a home for both RUN FOR A CURE and MARLEY BOB JULES! They will be moving to Denver Colorado tomorrow! How exciting! Hope The Island Man can handle the winters over there!

Am currently working on part 3 of a 3 piece project. Please be sure to follow the progress on my Facebook page!

Yes, it’s been too long, but here I am. I’ve restructured this site - focusing more on of the Felted art pieces than the cloth doll. The cloth dolls are still here, but I haven’t made any new one’s in years.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We’re getting summer-like weather out here in NYC - soooo not ready for that yet! give me 70 degrees weather anytime!

Um, has it been 3 months already?!?!?!?

Ok, I agree - It’s been way too long since I updated my site with the newest creations and writing in this blog. I truly apologize. I’ve said it before and I’m not gonna say it again - (bad blogger, bad blogger!!!)

Ok, that’s done! So, what’s up! The doll I was working on from Kay Petal’s tutorial is finished and up for sale now - her name is Phyllis and she’s absolutely gorgeous! (if I DO say so myself!) I created her using Norwegian C1 batting, which is highly recommended by Kay and I totally agree with her! I now prefer using the batting over the roving now. Went crazy buying lots of colors of the batting - but just realized I don’t have much natural colors to make different animals so just bought more.

PLease check out my newest creations. After Phyllis, I made an alien, a rabbit, a teenager, a grey cat, a african american boy and a great dane. I also found time to join in with a Cinco De Mayo Swap and made 3D flat piece: I also made a cupcake for a co-worker birthdy and a bulldog for my father on Father’s Day

Up and coming (fingers crossed) are 3 bulldogs, an Irish Setter and some personalized cloth dolls. I may also work on a video showing how I make one of these felted critters.

4th attempt WITH BODY!!!

Hi all!

Ok, by George, I think I got it! My 4th attempt at Kay Petal’s MAGIC OF FACES tutorial seems to have worked! Not only that I started working on the body and I’m getting a great kick out of her! You can find pictures of her progress HERE. She’s not finished yet but am loving her immensely! My only concern is when I felt her down how much she’ll shrink, cuz right now she is a BBW!!!!

Also, I bought a member of Needle Felting For Fun Yahoo group felties. It’s name is Ophelia and I fell completely in love with it when I saw her! The artist’s name is Mary Shelley and she is a wonderful artist as well as one of the sweetest ladies I know!
