My mother introduced me to needle felting about 10 years ago. She had bought a doll kit and I was fascinated. I started picking up books about the craft. I bought lots of wool and needles - with no idea what was the best fibers or what specific needle size to use. I started with animals but then attempted people a few months later. It took me a couple years to find what wool worked best for me and what size needles did what. With each project / creation I make I feel my skills are improving.
